About Me

Who am I? What do I do?

My name is Aidan, and I'm a 19-year-old college student currently based in California. I'm a bisexual man and use he/him pronouns. I'm currently undergoing a, well, identity crisis when it comes to my field of study, but I've definitely narrowed down what I want to do from what it used to be. In high school, music was basically the only thing I thought I was any good at. In fact, I ended up doing a LOT in choir. I figured that it was my calling to get into music and music theory as a major. Although I am still interested in music theory now, I don't necessarily consider it my first love anymore. So it goes.

Now that I'm in college, I've got a lot more agency than I have in the past. I get to learn about the stuff that I want to, instead of it only being stuff I HAVE to learn about. Through this, I've learned that I also have interests in art and biology! You will see a lot of both of those on this website.

What do I believe?

I align myself with most every belief that leftism commonly encompasses. I believe in rights for all queer (LGBTQ+) people. I believe that exclusionism holds us back as a community. Anyone who wants to identify as one way or the other has the right to do so so long as they are not harming other people. I believe that capitalism is a shameful way to run a country's economy. I believe that Israel is occupying land that it should not, and that the foundation of it as a country is rooted in colonialism. Palestinians should be free and live long and happy lives within Palestine as their home, as is their right to do. However, anti-Zionism does not mean antisemitism in this context. I support LandBack. Black Lives Matter. Protect trans youth. Solidarity rocks. Love one another.

Media I like, in no particular order: Dungeon Meshi, Flight Rising, Baldur's Gate 3/Dungeons & Dragons, Creatures of Sonaria, Homestuck/Hiveswap, my and my friends' OCs, Jay Eaton's Runaway to the Stars, and a ton of other stuff I can't really think of off the top of my head.
